Add more stars and a map border in campaign bg, feels empty This strategy helped me a lot since I suck at managing large ships. They'll die before they run out of battery, and if they don't, the AI still tries to kill them which takes up time.īy then you'll probably have enough money to send out a new bunch of them ( a smaller one though, but it gets the job done.)įor bosses, you guessed it, charge in ASAP and demolish with massive amounts of laz0rz. "But what about battery power? Those won't last long!" I find that some of the most powerful designs in campaign are just about making ships that can brawl. The ships selected will keep following that unit, if it is an enemy unit they will also prioritize attacking it. Nukes might be a challenge, but there's only 2 campaign missions with kamikaze nukes in them so go with shielded tanks for those ones. 1: Follow Units 'press F' then right click on the unit you want to be followed, like a move order. If you see an enemy ship with one, avoid getting hit at all costs (go around them and try attacking from the back, since campaign missions rarely have a combo of flak+360mount). "No, that wouldn't work! AoE damage would destroy them immediately!"īecause of their massive number, even that's a challenge, but WATCH OUT FOR FLAKS IN PARTICULAR. If enemy ships are too tough, try going around them and capturing points without killing them. The trick is simple all you have to do is spend all your money on them in the beginning (you'll get 40-ish scouts from that), place 5-6 on 1 capture point for protection against other scouts and spew out the rest onto the tougher ships. I could pass 90% of the missions using just these ships (the other 10% required some additional ships, but scouts were still used.) These ships cost 50$ and are incredible for just about anything. More specifically, 1x1 battery, scout thruster, a 90 degree light laser and some volumetric armor. I've been playing Istrolid for 2 days now, and I can say that the game is amazing :) I'll add a few of my suggestions at the end, but for now, let's talk about scouts.
